Why Me?

A familiar question which most people ask themselves or their prayer partners or their friends. Whenever you are faced with the storms of this life, or when unexpected things happen in you life, you ask God, Are you with me? This is a genuine question because for many people, they cannot imagine being hit by a crisis in their life. A child of God has trouble?

I met with a severe accident when I was in my happy days of my marriage. It was just fourth month of my marriage when a speeding car came from the wrong side and hit me. The impact was so severe that both the tibia and femur bone had broken in to three pieces. A lot of questions came to my mind. Why Lord? Where have I gone wrong? How will I manage the expenses? Within a period of two years, I had to undergo three operations which was very painful.

I thought mine was the biggest injury but seeing the patients around me, I was definitely thanking God. Sometimes, God allows just to make us stronger and closer to God.

You would not believe that, it was during my times in hospital and at home that I was able to draw closer to God and spend more times in prayer. Then I understood that, Yes God is with me. If I wouldn’t have met with accident, I would not have been closer to Him.

You might feel that God is not there right now. But you can definitely say in the next days that Yes, He is there with me.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
