Strange but perfect!

Why did it happen in this way? Where was God when this happened?

These are some of the questions asked by people during crisis times.

We pray for God’s will to happen on a daily basis. There is a constant battle between our will and God’s will. Although there is a battle, the ultimate victory would be that of God.

We find it difficult to compromise with God’s will for many reasons:

a. We have an in-built expectation– When we give our plans to God, we have an idea of how that plan needs to be fulfilled. For example: when I plan a road trip to Kerala, I have an idea to reach there considering various options like low-cost, easy, and many more. Hence, when God takes us through a different route, we find it difficult because that wasn’t the way we wanted. The fact is that Gods way are strange to us but it is perfect.

b. God wants to teach us many things– Every situation is a place where God wants to teach us. God can teach us through every single minor details of our lives. Why did people of Israel take 40 years instead of 40 days? These were the days where they learned to trust in God; how great their God was; certainly their faith was polished. Presently, we don’t allow God to teach us because we are living in a fast world, where we don’t have time for anything.

c. We want it instant– Martha and Mary wanted Jesus to come instantly and heal their brother; but Jesus was waiting for His perfect timing. We read that God’s glory was revealed in the raising of Lazarus. When we pray for others too, we ask for God’s will because God will heal the individuals in His time.

Dear Brothers, sisters, If we allow for God’s will to happen, we give our expectations, time, and knowledge to God and Let God do the needful in this regard :).

Give your plans before God written on a pencil and give God the eraser. Anonymous
