People are good communicators. I bet, if they join some party, they sure have great impact in the society.
Some days back, one person called me on my phone saying that he is calling from bank. Even true caller app was showing this number as RBI. He started his conversation, Good Morning sir, i am calling from Reserve Bank of India. You have not updated your Aadhar with your bank account. So, if you dont link, your bank account is going to be suspended.
I panicked, because i am in Gujarat and how will I link asap. He said, no problem sir, i have called you to do online verification.
First of all, i hesitated because I have heard how people cheat but the communication and that RBI name just made me ignorant.
To cut the long story short, I gave my Debit card number and followed by CVV number. He said, your Aadhar card has been linked successfully. Now, you will get a message of confirmation. I almost had an heart attack when I got the message. It said, 575778 is your otp pin for the transaction of 9999 through Ola money transfer. I disconnected the call and immediately transferred all money to other accounts.
The reason why i am sharing is that, no bank or no prime minister will ask for any verification of any bank account. I have learnt my lesson.
Today, i read that one bank manager lost 100000 rupee from this fraud.
